Transport in the passenger cabin
You can take your pet with you in the passenger cabin if it fits into one of the following categories:
Small pets such as dogs, cats or birds (not birds of prey)
Other species of mammals, e.g., guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits
Specially trained animals for protection or assistance, e.g., guide dogs for blind persons
The animal must fulfill the following conditions:
- It must be clean, healthy, inoffensive, and must not smell bad
- It must not be in gestation
- It must not inconvenience the other passengers
- It must not weigh more than 7 kg (cage included)
Please remember that your pet:
- Must be declared when you make your reservation
- Must stay throughout the flight in a cage which is sufficiently big, clean and does not leak
- Must remain in this cage under your seat throughout the flight
Transport in the baggage hold of the aircraft in which you are traveling
Your pet will travel in the baggage hold of the same aircraft that you are taking. It is put into a cage specially designed for transporting pets, so it has nothing to be afraid of. The temperature and air pressure in the baggage hold are virtually the same as in the passenger cabin. Of course, you cannot visit your pet during the flight, but do be assured that the pilot is fully aware that your cats, dogs, etc. are also passengers on this flight.
