IFR Pilot Qualifications
Any pilot (PIC) wishing to operate under IFR at Sion shall be trained and qualified for the local IFR Procedures with an aircraft able to operate on the IGS Steep Approach (initial 6 degree glide path)
A qualification
DA/MDA min 8000'
Pilot type A qualification: available through our website with one theoretical self-instruction.

B qualification
Authorized to execute IGS Approach with DA/MDA lower than 8000'.
Pilot type B qualification: for this qualification the pilots shall be trained and qualified for Sion with the local training program including one flight provided by the airport instructor.
